84 K20 "Ethel" Not an Sbc/NV4500/241C

Semi restoration of a 1984 K20 pickup. 5.3 LS, nv4500, np241c.
Yea I wish I was kidding..I suppose I deserved it. We crawled up freaking stupid crap you should try to take a truck with no lockers.. On top of that and attempting to do donuts and just hooning the living crap out of it I guess I was lucky the front shaft didn't eject itself first, it was clicking like a rollercoaster at magic mountain..
She really proved today that I love this truck, it exceeded my expectations for what a stock truck will go up, at 35psi, no locking anything, stock rear springs and some lift springs up front a bad clutch and 300k miles.. This truck should have died a long long time ago.
What simpley amazes me is for what it is how damn nice it drives on the street.. Once the ac is fixed and the clutch I'm driving this to work as much as possible..

No idea at this point. I do want to make sure once I go turbo I don't waste it because of the extra torque output, if a stock replacement will handle that then I'll run a stock clutch.

I use the clutch quite a bit like a torque converter, so an had unit might not be a bad idea actually.

I don't think I'll have it fixed by then.. Taking a bit of a break from this. At least a week. I have a few honey do items to take care of before vacation

A stock 6.5 clutch will more than handle the torque. But using it as a T/C is a whole 'nother matter.

Maybe good to start a thread just asking about turbo 6.5 clutches. Then ponder over bacation what the plan is :deal:

I dunno.. But there's a lot of options on these.

I am tempted to go with the heavy duty luk, 04902..

Pretty sure that's what I went with. But mine is still sitting in its box. Not sure which one of us is gonna get his clutch in first. But I'm betting it won't be me. :haha:

Seeing as how damn stubborn I am ill prob end up attempting it soon.. We'll see if I can get a Trans jack from a buddy.
