I really liked mine for awhile. Mine was what some would call the holy grail of first gens, 1992 intercooled, extended cab 4x4 with a brand new NV4500 installed and rear converted to disk brakes. What pissed me off about it was the horrid electrical system constantly having issues. And power steering pumps, cold weather killed them a lot. Hoping your luck is better than mine!

Go figure the one day I decide to do glow plugs and fix the freeze plug it freaking snows... but I managed to remove the stupid stubborn freeze plug!!! Arghhhh!!!

Fock.. a tip of a glow plug broke off in the head.. now what.. pulling head?
Just the tip? Or are some threads still stuck in there also? If it's just the tip you can always start it and drive around a bit. I've done that and had it work once

Just the tip.. I also still have one that's not wanting to come out that I guess is mushroomed but not terribly because it actually moves in and out some so I'll gently keep working it.
Could also do what they used to do at work when all the service trucks were C3500HD's with 6.5's. They'd just punch them into the cylinder and fire them up. not my ideal choice but it wasn't me doing it.
Top plug isn't a problem. Bottom plug has left a whole bunch behind. It's probably possible to ignore it, but bits and pieces will be floating around until they are expelled.
For the mushroomed one, work it back and forth gently and small bits of ceramic should fall off until it fits through the hole. This is not a problem. What you do want to avoid, if possible, is leaving bits of the resistor wire behind. Metal pieces = bad things. No, not catastrophic things, but it's still a bad idea.
