84 K20 "Ethel" Not an Sbc/NV4500/241C

Semi restoration of a 1984 K20 pickup. 5.3 LS, nv4500, np241c.
So one has to ponder the number of gears one may go through on a burnout with one of these... hmmm
My 6.2L (L9H not the anemic diesel) will burn through the first 3 gears (6L80). Just gotta turn off that power management nonsense

Got the rear driveline fixed, also the new fan came in(spare now) it fits better upside down lol.. bolted the radiator to the factory upper mounts, and used the oem insulators on the lower side and it seems tight and stable. I'll see how that holds up.
I got a couple relays to get the fan and fuel pump setup properly. Also removed the intake tube and maf for now because I can't close the damn hood so the air filter it stuck on the TB for now.. I'll rectify this later.

Alright! Been busting my ass for a few days now to iron out and get this thing fired up and running properly, realized I did a couple knuckle head things I won't mention for posteritys sake.. lol
But it runs, drives (ok) and doesn't do anything weird.
It is super fat (10:1) but that can be due to the oem power enrichment tables.. going to see how close the commanded afr is to the actual.
Sorry fellas not burnout video yet, this test run was sketchy enough.. it's fat enough to make it miss at wot.
So one weird thing is my clutch comes and goes.. I have to pump it sometimes to get the pedal back.. not sure what the deal there is.
I managed to steal the mufflers off the race truck to be able to cruise it around the block it's still really loud as the exit is just past the tcase lol.. it sounds pretty serious..
my trans whines really bad. Not stoked about that.. fml why can't anything just go right..
I rigged a couple things up, the maf and the intake is totally not high quality, but I needed to check to verify why it was running so bad and it allowed me to actually fix the majority of the issues to now the engine runs great at part throttle and around here is awesome actually, the low end torque is great and you really wouldn't think it's as small displacement as it is.
Throttle is decently snappy. Idle in 4low is stable and I haven't stalled it once yet, I am amazed st the electric throttle.. works damn good for this.
All in all, lots of work left but I am chipping away and should have all this sorted before the poker run

Clutch coming and going is likely a slave cylinder issue. Either bad or not bled all the way

Noisy tranny is interesting. The one I just pulled out was whining a lot. It wiped out a fork, the wear plating was missing when I pulled it down

Considering I had the cover off and I made sire those pads where there makes me think it's a bearing..

It could be lack of lube to the rear of the case...
With all the leewd comments this morning I'm gonna let that drop.

Output gear or bearing. You didn't use the Walmart brand gear oil did you? Also common for those 4500s to need some love due to guys towing in 5th gear

Seriously about ready to rip it out, sell it and stuff a 4l80e in there..
I'm going to pretend that you didn't say that...

Also do you still have the 465? Slap that back in place of the NV4500 then you have a running, driving truck again. Then you can diagnose the whine in the 4500 at your leisure or save to get it rebuilt.
