This for a friend who lives in the Seattle Area, ok I got some more info from him....

It's a sad time for me. I'm going back into college (nursing school is expensive) and, frankly, don't have the space (or money) to keep my baby. A whole lotta my love, money, sweat, tears, time and dedication has gone into her. So here it is.

1984 K5 Blazer. Originally had 6.2l diesel. It bit the dust right before I got it and was replaced with a 6.5l out of a '94 Chevy. Runs strong and has performance aftermarket gauges to monitor it’s vitals. So literally, everything from the engine down has been replaced and beefed up. Other modifications I've done are listed below.

6" lift-with ORD (4”) shackle reversal in rear.
-BDS front springs
-Custom pack in rear 3” (netting 6.5” with HD rear bumper)
¾ ton Dana 44 Front Axle-New everything (bearings, seals, breaks, rotors, etc…)
-Flat top pass. Knuckle
-X-over/hi-steer
-Stock (great shape) 4.11s
14 Bolt Full Floater Rear Axle-New everything (bearings, seals, breaks, rotors, etc…)
-New 4.11 Gears @ Randy’s Ring and Pinion
-Detroit Locker
-Disc Conversion with ¾ ton rotors (maintained an e-brake)
-1410 series yoke (High Angle Driveline)
37x12.5x16” Super Swamper SSR’s (5)
-apx 80% tread left
-Mounted full size spare
16x10 Pro Comp Alloy Rims (5)
-Full size spare
Newly Rebuilt TH400
-HD Diesel Torque Converter
-Used only B+M Synthetic Trick Shift ATF in it
-B+M Heavy Duty (14,000GVW) Auto Trans. Cooler
ORD HD TH400 to NP205 adapter
NP205-Freshly Rebuilt-fixed rear output
-Twin Stick’d (ORD kit), professionally modified shift rails.
-New Bearings, seals, ect…
-Bored out to Large 32 spline input and new input gear. (ORD)
-High Angle Driveline NP205 output flange
High Angle Driveline Driveshaft
-CV HD Driveshaft 1350 series (1410 series @ rear diff.)
Pro Comp-Extended stainless Steel Brake lines throughout
Hercu-lined Interior
Aluminum diamond plate for interior sides
Front bumper with winch mounting plate
Rear bumper 4x4iron (customized)
-wrap around protection
-Tire carrier
-2” receiver built in
-Recovery tabs (2)

The problems:
-TH400 runs strong now, but it should be re-cased (the guy I got it from would not honor warranty and cause it was an under the table deal, neither will the re-man company he worked for) as it has a hairline crack between pump and pan and leaks a little.
-Oil leak @ passenger valve cover and oil cooler connection-have parts to fix, just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

This rig is built right. I had planned on having this for quite a while, but with school and everything, it’s gotta go. It’s either this or my education, and as hard of a choice as it is, my schooling won. I need it gone by 15 Sept because I won’t have time to sell it during school. Best offer by 15Sept takes it. Thanks for the interest.

I know that rusty sheetmetal isn't a regular feature of vehicles in most parts of the Pacific Northwest, but is there any rust on this truck?

you know i'm not sure about rust, its been a year since I saw it last (when I took those pics) but I don't remember seeing anything major. I think the only problem with the body is some damage. He said he got some dents when he when up some trails with some jeeps.

Yeah I wish I had money, with banks turbo 6.5, it would be a sweet dd/trail rig.

wow old thread back from the dead. i bought this truck from Allen off CL back in sept or oct of 2006. I was searching for info on fixing valve cover leaks and found this.

the truck now has a hmmwv 6.2 w/ the same banks kit after that 6.5's crank went, an sm465 np205 combo, lengthened the rear shaft, HAD front shaft, 56" springs up front, a dana 60, half doors, and is now missing most of the plastic/aesthetic bits and that front bumper has been removed.

It was featured on the cover of 2009's CK5 calendar.

If you seen Allen anytime soon, tell him his truck is very much loved and used/abused still. In a few days it will be making the trip from CA to WA once again.
