Hey everyone I've been trying to pass my colorado emissions test so far I have replaced the exhaust system from the y pipes back rebuilt the carb oil change new plugs and wires aswell as new air filter but still not passing any thoughts on what to do next would be great thanks everyone

Does it have an air injection smog system, catalytic converter, federal or state smog requirements, PC valve in place. Original carb or after market?

Need your HC, CO and NO numbers to get going in the right direction

HC 12.2247. FAIL
CO 267.9781 FAIL
CO2 663.9634
NOx 0.1703 Pass
Visual inspection was a pass

I pass the visual and should be a aftermarket carb I bought it with a crate 350 installed has a 4 barrel edelbrock carb

I'll try to find a good price for a kit like that one all rods springs and jets are interchangeable between carburetor models is what I have found out just covid took my job and slowed down the production of my build can't wait to get this kit

Well I got the calibration kit dropped .89 jets in the primary and .92 jets in the secondary ran my test and failed my test now shows
HC gpm 9.5497
CO gpm 166.1789

I would try for number 8 or 7 on chart above. You did move in the right direction. What were the jets originally. If you go to lean, it will lean misfire and still fail on HC

I'll do that not sure what the original jet size was could not find any size stamped on the original jets so I just went with small jets and big rods but I'll look at the chart and try those adjustments thanks

So I applied for a hardship waiver to get my emmisions to pass and they denied me said all my vacuum hoses are installed incorrectly so now I'm thinking I should pull all lines go buy replacements and reinstall does anyone know where I can get a easy to read diagram of where all the hoses should be installed could this be a possibility to why my blazer is running extremely rich

wow the smog shop says ya or nay on hard ship smog. Here in Kommiefornia if you've owned the car for 2+ years, BAR will pay up to 400 + 100 out your pocket to fix and pass the vehicle.

I wonder how many emissions items are missing, since you have an aftermarket carb. Is the intake manifold aftermarket. do you have an EGR valve AIR system should be at least 1 maybe 2 thermal vacuum switches.

did you try more jet|rod adjustments

I'm going to look into the egr valve and thermal vacuum switch and yes I did try different sized jets and rods not sure if the manifolds are aftermarket spill be checking that out aswell thanks for the advice on where to focus next

I was looking at the vacuum lines and they are not installed correctly from previous owner looks like I'll be rerouting all the vacuum lines and maybe I'll purchase a new egr valve just to make sure or should I just cheat and drop some alcohol in the tank and cheat my way through the test to get plates so I can then take the time I need to really go through all the emmisions vacuum lines on my own time
