I got a 86 K5 Blazer a couple weeks ago, and it had the 700r4, NP 208 that I wanted to transfer into my 84 K5 Silverado Blazer 3/4 ton 4x4. It has a 8" all spring lift in it with 37" Goodyear Wrangler MT tires, 91 350 with Edelbrock intake, carb, and cam.
So today I started the changeout between the two Blazers.
Here is what I took out of my 84 that somebody had planted into it - TH 350 and NP 203 with a part time kit in it.
Here are the replacement parts. 700r4 that looks to have been gone through at some point in time because the color of the torque converter is not a stock GM converter. The 208 has a SYE kit on it which I was like score!
Also on the 86 is a 14 bolt full floater rearend. I'm going to verify the gear ratio in it and if it's 4.10s like what's in my 14 bolt semi floater, it will get swapped into my 84 Blazer.
Here is a pic of the front end on the 86 which has the heavier plate style backing plates on it. It might get swapped into my 84 since it looks like it's a little more beefier then the 3/4 ton front end that is in there right now.
