85 Blazer Rust on back of the cab

I have rust where the shell meets the cab what's the best way to go about this it's a 85 Chevy K5 Blazer

I have that same issue on mine. Hopefully we get someone with experience to chime in.

I had the same issue. I welded in new pieces from a donor truck I found at pick-n-pull. Skimmed the surface in a little bit of bondo and bed lined my whole top. Looks good as new.

I’ve seen some guys do a full vert conversion too.

Redoing the interior of my 84 and have the same issue. I keep my eye out on FB for somebody scrapping a K5....I'd like to find a decent patch panel to weld in.

Do y'all know if there's a big difference between the years on that that piece cuz I found one from a 1978 and I have a 85

I found a donor truck and $160 the body shop is replacing it now. I know there was a another K5 in that yard. I live in San Antonio tx.

Agreed, you need to find a donor. Cut out the area and graft in a good piece. I can't find any better pics of of the new sections when I was painting mine. But you can get the idea.

Nice. I have a line on a guy who is parting out a K5. The guy told me he'd cut out a patch panel for me for $50. I'll have the work done next winter.
