'85 C30 now a K20 - Grandpa's Truck

Yep, the pic was takin in the upright (normal) position tho...

You gotta take them so the round button is on the right. I have no idea why, but that's what all iphones and ipods do when you load pics here

It's an iThingy thing. I don't use Tapatalk and sometimes my iPhone does it.

well got some stuff done but unfortunately I wont be finishing it this year. motor and trans in. went with a 700 and had a local builder do it. got all the goodies. brake lines plumbed and bleed. fuel system is almost done. going to put the front clip on it and finish cooling system then its getting put in the barn for a few months. hate to do it but im running out of funds and I still have a winter project planned.

Looking awesome paul.

Cant wait to see it out of the barn in a few months. I know how that goes. Being on the low end of the $$$ flow sucks.

Looks great so far! Being tye barn for a while isn't such a bad thing. They say absence makes tye heart grow fonder.

Well trying to get the truck while at least before I put it away. Got the front clip and cooling system on. Not sure but I might be taking it up north and putting it away this up coming weekend.

Well I graduate from college at the end of April, plan is to get truck back out of barn shortly after my life settles down a little. Been working on another truck over winter to try to stay sane while in school this winter... Ill update that thread another day. Never enough time in a day!

I should be there with this truck, just need to do shocks, t-case, drive shafts, and exhaust then I can fire the motor, tune it and work out the kinks. I'll have about two months, so there shouldn't be any excuses...If this isn't done I can always throw a bike in the back of my C10 and come out.

Not much new but I did pick up a 208 over the weekend. Came with support rod, adapter, shift linkage and has nice detents and chain seems tight. Guy gave me the one inch spacer he had for the front driveshaft to. Not sure if ill use it or even need it but it was a freebie in my eyes.

Ok, going to try to keep up on the build thread. Not many new pictures but Engine is now running (sounds awesome) and hope to have truck moving this week. Trying to juggle funds, work and time to take this thing to the dunes on the 26th. I borrowed a friends crossmember and driveshafts and most likely will be borrowing wheels/tires for the dune weekend.

Things to do:

Trans lines
Secures fuel lines and tail light harness
Buy shocks
Install inner fenders
Find T case shifter and install
Install bench seat
Fix drivers window
Remove temporary exhaust and redo

Found this thing 15 pages back...I've been slacking. I made it to the silver lake sand dunes the day of the ck5 party last year. I was camping with other friends but met up with some people on the sand. After that, the parts I borrowed from friends' truck were returned and I parked my truck for winter.

Fast forward to now and the truck is still sitting in the barn up north, just had to much going on this year to mess with it. I did do some trading for my own set of wheels but they are pretty flashy for me...20x12 M/T with 326/60r20 good year duratracs. hoping to sell them and get something different. Been a pretty boring summer as far as Chevy's go around here. Hoping to get my 6.0 swapped C10 back out for the Woodward Dream Cruise coming up here in a few weeks. I will try to post up some pictures from dunes last year and its current state in the barn...
