85 Diesel Jimmy "Development" front and rear air tank bumper build

This is my post for my favourite square body that I've been "developing" over the last couple of years. (I have 10 squares at home between myself and my 2 boys, and most are driven regularly)
already had lifted it and swapped in 14 bolt ff with discs and a 10 bolt 3/4 front with drive flanges. started building a winch bumper and a rear bumper out of 4 1/2" drill stem and plate. built the rear to hold a couple tools jerry cans and spare...its also an air tank for my compressor( ac compressor converted and tied into engine crankcase ventilation for oiled intake air.)

started with a piece of 4" drill stem
sliced it in the middle and heated to bend closed to follow body line

mounted the winch back between frame rails added a plate with a fairlead

heated and bent some factory hooks welded in some 1/4" fitting bungs and Rino Lined

Built the rear tube from the same drill rod. added shackle points and passed a reciever tube thru it

fabbed up a removable swinging tire accessory rack

this is a much llater pic, but shows the set up a bit

just need to run the engine to run air tools, but have air in the tanks even if not running engine as a reserve.
