I'm currently putting back in my heating ducts in my 85 jimmy and the one that is for the defrosters has a large gap in the back of it front lines up great does anyone know if I'm missing a piece or something I have searched all my parts and have found nothing and can not find any good pics online it sits on top of the main box under the dash

85 heating duct gap

Every one I've had has had that gap. You loosen the screw, pull it down so it's snug, then the top defroster vents won't reach. I guess something warps/shrinks over the years. Just tape it with some black duck tape.
