85 K10 Emergency brake

Hi so I ordered an 8in ORD lift for my 85 k10 and didnt even think about this when I started doing it. How did you guys go about fixing the issue of the emergency brake cable being to short?

Measure the length from where the cable at the axle ends on the shoe back to where the C shaped union is. Then order longer ones and pull them in

They should be referred to as PARKING BRAKES. If you where to use these brakes in an emergency then you would be screwed. All I did was use some spacers between the parking brake cable brackets and the frame for the lift on my truck.
