'85 k30

Hi Yall,

Ive found whats going to be my next vehicle. Its an 85 k30 with a 454/sm465/205/d60/14bff combo. I know this is a great platform to build and play with. Or at least the drivetrain is stout. I have a couple questions, the 205 in the truck has a slip yoke output. What has/can be done to make it a fixed yoke?

Im planning on using the truck as a DD/weekend warrior, so Im not going to get real crazy with it. But want it to be capable of driving to Moab, playing for a weekend and driving back to denver.

Please give me some advice/ideas on what I can spend my money on.

nice platform indeed
always start your money spending on the basics that make a truck reliable
good brakes, good running engine, and making sure the previous owner didn't cut or weld something that shouldn't have been cut or welded. Go through everything, including the wiring. If you do all this, you'll know just where to put ALL your money LOL
