85 k5 383 stroker

i have a 85 k5 i put a 383 stroker in. the motor was the original 305. how do i get everything to work right now? it has the esc and ccc i believe. so the old computer is wigging out i believe. dont know how though because its got an aftermarket mallory hei. and i dissconected every emission part only sensors on motor are the engine oil and engine temp. alternater. believe thats it. now has a edelbrock 650 avs thunder off road carb and edelbrock intake. any help would make my day.
 
Well, the computer isn't the problem. Your feedback carb is no longer installed, and neither is the ESC distributor. Beyond that there was no other control or input from the computer.

What is it doing exactly?

it wont go over 30 mph. however it revs fine off idel and sounds healthy at idel. its a motor swap from orig 305 its a newer 1 peiece main 350 stroked to a 383 mallory hei pro comp alum heads, 650 edelbrock avs off road carb on edelbrock manifold. has comp cam and timing drive set has crane 1.5 and 1.6 gold race roller rockers. i think the intake are 1.5 and exh 1.6 the stock manifolds glowed red with new motor has no miles just cam break in and driveway time. now has a set of headers.
 
1) Proper punctuation helps us.....help you.
2) How is it not going over 30? If it's a manual, try second, then maybe 3rd, and if you got ur big boy pants on you still have 4th. Is it sputtering, stalling, pinging......?? Are you driving through 5 feet of water? Do you have your TV cable set correctly?
 
It's prolly falling on it's face, try a bit more timing and see what happens. If it pings turn it back a hair.

This could mean either too rich OR too lean. I would guess too rich rather than too lean though. Also does this vehicle still have a catalytic convertor? If so running rich will plug them up and once they become plugged the vehicle usually has a hard time going beyond 25-30 mph.
 
Yeah, what the heck happens at 30? Besides it becoming untrustworthy.......

Does it go dead, rev real high but stop moving, start bouncing up and down, shoot fire out the exhaust, or start quacking like a duck?

I know it doesn't make a S/T shift, because not only did you not mention installing a flux capacitor, but you have to hit 88 for that.

BTW, the duck thing is the worst. Pray you don't hear that.......
