ok, what will be needed to lift a 85 standard cab, short bed pick 8 inches, springs and shocks, steering stuff(arm, link, ect.)will longer driveshafts be neede3d?anything else you think is needed?

oh, the truck is getting some 44s

8" front springs, 4" rear springs with shackle flip, i would go with the longest shock you can find and fab your own mounts. steering, i would go crossover. you will need longer driveshafts and posibility high angle CVs at both shafts.

with 44s, make sure it has a d60 up front. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

We just did 8" springs on my buddies K5 not too long ago. He had to have a new front and rear driveshaft done, steering is an abortion (he needs xover), brakelines, shocks, etc... And it still rides and drives like crap. When it was all said and done, he wished he would have gone w/ a 6" and a little trim... but it does look good!

44's with 8" of lift? won't happen unless you do a bunch of trimming and a body lift.

38.5's fit with 4" and a trim, they hit if you stuff them, but fine for mudding, trimming is no problem, if it needs a body lift, we will do it too
