Hello All,

I have a 3/4 ton 8 lug 85 Suburban. The truck currently has 235/85/16's on it mounted on stock steel wheels. I am considering picking up some new 8 lug wheels off a 2003 HD from a neighbor. They currently have 285/75/16's on them. Will I have any problems changing to that tire size as far as driveability or clearance? I already know the speedo reading will change slightly!

Thanks,
Scott /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif

Might rub a bit in the front also depending on the backspacing you may run into tie rod end clearance problems. Thats all I can think of right now /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I have the 285's on my Sub, and have no issues. If you take it off road much, you might get the front tire to rub, but I doubt it.

Mat
