85 Suburban Electrical Questions

OK dome light issue's, the light under the dash works with the doors and light switch no problems, the two lights on the roof or ceiling don't. So I figured it was the bulbs replaced those nothing pulled fuse, the under the dash goes out, other still don't work.

Anybody have any ideas?

Are they seperate circuts?
Before I pull the headliner what side do the wires go on? or down?

Look for the orange+white wires under the carpet on the drivers side. They go down under the carpet along the edge near the door and then turn and go up at the pillar right behind the drivers seat. The problem is probly in one of those spots. If the ones under the dash work you know that the door switchs and fuse are good and the wiring is good until some place after it leaves from under the dash.

Orange and whites thats what I thought I remebered but wasn't sure I will check it out.
