ok so i am wanting to know who has the low down on a 85 suburban, I found one that has a 350 motor. Not sure of the tranny, or anything else. It is a 2wd with factory size wheels. The guy cannot remember if it is a 1500 or a 2500. How can one tell?

Thanks

Jeff

good it must be a 3/4 ton then. cause it is an 8 lug front and rear. This is what we bought.

I thought all 2wd 3/4ton burbs had 454 under the hood....

possibly, but i never heard about that.

Anyways, looks like a sweet burb. What are you going to do with it? Tow? DD? I think that color scheme with those wheels looks sweet on that year burb

it will be mostly a DD. But used for towing also. It has a brand new crate 350 from chevy approx 20k miles on it since installed. All new A/C stuff, among many other things. Soon as i get a chance i shall snap some more pics.

As far as a 454 in a 3/4ton i am not sure about that. After looking at the glove box tag it came with a 350. Has a 40 gallon tank also.:eek1:

its a nice burban... all of the 2wd3/4burbs I've seen and been in had 454.... I just thought they always came like that.. it should be a sweet ride.... and with a new crate.... have fun filling up that 40 gallon tank... I know I do every time I fill her up for trips :eek1:

Haha, you got the small tank....the newer ones are 42 gal :)

i am not looking forward to filling that puppy up. i mean heck my blazer has the 30 gal. tank in my 75. i only fill it to like 24 gal. and it is like 60-70 bucks.:(

hopefully, wiht a new small block, you can try to get decent mileage out of it. But i'd guess it won't be that good anyways....its a heavy beast....
