1985 Chevy M1008 CUCV (K30)

I built this truck over the last 2-3 years, and have decided recently its actually more capable than what I wanted. Oh, and of course my wife hates it, and all she sees is debt. It was built with rock crawling/trail riding in mind rather than mudding, which is why its so low (low for 42" tires anyway).

1985 M1008 Cab & front clip. some surface rust where the paint has been scraped away.
Built on a 1977 GMC Jimmy frame.

6.2 Diesel engine, upgrade with 6.5 Injection pump. Aftermarket fuel filter setup. 3" single exhaust.
TH350 transmission, < 2000 miles on rebuild.
NP203 transfer case, part time converted.
Square tube front driveshaft, 1350 CV rear shaft from HAD.

D60 Front axle, 4.56, Limited slip (from a M1028 CUCV truck).
14 Bolt rear axle, 4.56, Detroit locker. Disc brake conversion.
15x42x15 TSL Bias-Ply tires. fronts are bald, rears are better than 50%. Two usable trail spares included, one mounted.

Front suspension is 56" leaf springs, custom packs, limited to 12" travel by shocks.
Rear suspension is also 56" leaf springs, custom packs, 16" of travel
5-6" Lift compared to stock.

*ALL* electrical has been replaced. New fuse block, all new wiring. Custom dash, with CD/mp3 player, CB radio, and aftermarket gauges.

Now for the bad. This truck has body damage. Quite a bit of it. Could definitely use new front fenders, hood, doors (passenger door especially). Cab itself is a little beat up with some rock damage to the rockers, and a couple tree dents in the b-pillar. Passenger window is missing. It was broken by one of the trees that dented the passenger door so bad. This is definitely NOT a road trip vehicle. However I did daily drive this truck, as it sits (minus some of the body damage) for over a year.

Also, the truck current has issues with eating transmission and engine mounts. I have a new transmission crossmember & mount mostly fabricated, as well as the majority of the parts I need to fabricate HD engine mounts.

The truck is located in Gainesville, FL.

I am asking $5000 FIRM. I don't see the point in asking $6000, but accepting $5000. Thats what I want, if thats not what you want to pay, don't bother. I don't need to sell this to pay bills, I don't need to sell this or else I'm getting divorced, I don't need to sell this because the city has threatened to fine me thousands of dollars for my eyesore. I want to sell this, and so, $5000 is my price. If it doesn't get sold, I guess I'll keep driving it!

I work nights and sleep during the day, and cannot answer my phone at work, so I will not post my phone number. If someone is serious about the truck, I will provide them with my number then.

And on to the pictures. Some of these will be out of order, or seem like they're from another truck. The dash was originally built in my yellow blazer, but was moved over exactly as it was, for example.

Video of the truck in action. This was a short timed course. It shows the abuse the truck can withstand. Even though I thought it was broke at the end, really the only thing that happened is the drivetrain shifted some during the endo, and knocked the transfer case into two wheel drive.
