I have an 86 k-5 that has a 350. The ideal is rough on it so i replaced rotor and cap as well as wires plugs. It seems after all of this that the 3rd 5th and 6th cylinders are not fireing any suggestions please

Thanks Josh

If you did the cap/rotor and wires, and now some of the cylinders aren't firing. I'd go back and look at the plug wires. Make sure they are all on correctly. Also make sure the cap is on the distributor all the way. Cylinders 3,5 and 6 are next to each other in the firing order (1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2). If the cap were up in that area, the rotor may not be able to transfer the spark energy.

im getting spark to the plug just no fire on the plug cause when i pull the plug wire off with it running it will spark on those cylinders but as well when i pull those wires off it does not effect the way it ideals. Also when the choke is on it does not seem to be missing as bad as when the choke is off???

What is the gap on the offending spark plugs?

I would try putting new sparks with the right gap and make sure your distributor is in the right spot with the cam shaft gear or check timming.

Swap plugs between cylinders, see if the problem follows the plugs. It's free.

Compression check if the problem doesn't follow the plugs.
