86 blazer gears

i have a 86 blazer with a 305 and a 700r4 overdrive tranny what rear gears do you think my stock ten bolts have?

Probably 3.08's

^what he said, but youd need to pull the cover off and count the number of teeth on the pinion and ring gear and then divide the number of teeth on the ring gear by the number of teeth on the pinion to know for sure

Hmmmmmm.....

I've seen K5s come stock with 3.08s, 3.42s and 3.73s. In fact, my 84 came from the factory with 3.73s. If yours came with a factory-installed receiver hitch, chances are you have the 3.73s, too.

If you still have a readable RPO sticker, it shoud tell you what gears you have. Gearing codes start with a G, and if you google "RPO codes", you'll find a ton of sites that can help you decipher your sticker.

Look inside the glovebox for the options sticker. My options sticker listed 3.73 gears & locking differential on my 85.

yea guys thanks alot for the help i popped the glovebox to find out that i have 373 gears a locking diff and the high output 305 plus a tow pack
