Setting up the story... I am junking my aftermarket electric fuel pump (tired of listening to it), and I'm going back to basics of a manual fuel pump.

Today, I am trying to remember which lines go where on my manual fuel pump. Obviously a supply line comes to the fuel pump, and one returns fuel. However, the fuel pump Napa just sold me has 3 connections (two male hose style and one female npt style) fittings. My Quadrajet has a fuel in and fuel out fitting as well. So, all these damn connections don't add up. :doah:Logic tells me my fuel pump should only have two connections (if my Quadrajet is returning unused fuel back to the tank. So, what is the third connection for at the fuel pump?

Does anyone have a diagram on how this is supposed to look? I looked at LMC's website and it doesn't really show me how this is supposed to look. I could really use the help guys... my truck is now down, and I need to get 'er back on the road. She's my one and only daily driver.

Okay... I think I just had a brain fart, so I'm hoping someone can verify this for me. The port at the back of the Quadrajet is the brake booster, correct? So... the three ports on the fuel pump are for the following: (1: fuel supply 2: fuel return and 3: fuel to carb). Right? Damn, I think I just wasted a lot your time.

That is what I remember it like.
It's been a while since I worked on the fuel pump.
