1/2 ton status
My truck and trailer is for sale. It is not being used and just getting more and more expensive to take it anywhere. The truck
86' Chevy K20 scottsdale TBI454, MSD probillet distributor, MSD coil pack, Flex-a-lite 290 dual 15" E-fans, dual red top optima batteries in tool box, 400 trans, twin sticked GM205 t-case, Upgraded to a 32 spline front output shaft 1410 yoke front and rear 1410 driveshafts front and rear, 2.5 ton rocks welded front and rear, PSC full hydro up front, PSC orbital valve, 3"X9" cylinder, 56" superlift springs up front have a spring rate of 420lbs, jeep coil springs in the rear with a one link setup, front and rear reciever mounts built into frame, front trac-bar to control axle wrap. Also the front is narrowed 12"s and frame has been shortened about 23"s or so and it is a wheelbase of about 133". Also has 5 20X12 Stazworks custom stamped internal beadlocks. These wheels are over $550 a piece. It currently has 4- 48" goodyear tires on it. THey work for roller but probably wont hold up to any real wheelin. The tires are old and coming apart. I found that out in a arkansas in may. Since the truck has been at the point it is with the rocks and suspension it has been to shiloh once and to hot springs arkansas once.
Also I have original doors that were on the truck as well as another set, I have the bed that I removed if you want it as well also the truck will come with a set of 49" michelins on splint locks 2.5ton wheels. The tires can be swapped over to the stazworks wheels and would hold up to wheelin. They have been used at shiloh and gilmer a few times and are holding up fine.
Only problems with the truck is it needs new spark plugs. I fired it up a couple days ago for the first time in a few weeks. It start right up no problem but started popping. I will throw some new plugs in it. Also it could use a PSC power steering pump and reservoir. When we were in arkansas at time I would have trouble turning. I think that when I turned all the way to one side most of the fluid was leaving the pump and causing it to get air in the system and not work. Most of the time I could rev it up a bit and it would work fine. So it either needs a bigger reservoir or PSC pump and res. Also when we went to arkansas the rear window busted. And on the front end it needs something to limit the down travel on the front axle. It just needs a chain from the center of the front axle going to the frame. If you get on something REALLY steep the link bar shackle at the frame end folds over and that makes the link bar hard mount against the crossmember and shove the front axle about 4" forward. If someone buys it I can throw it on a lift and find out where the chain length needs to be set up and put that on first.
Trailer is a '07 24' trailmaster gooseneck car hauler. This thing pulls GREAT I have had no problems out of it. IT has been to hot springs ark, twice, to shiloh 5 or 6 times and to gilmer a couple times so it may have 3K-4K miles on it tops. I just wont need it if I sell the truck.
These come as a package deal $12K for both or may consider trading for a nice bass boat.
