We changed the feul pump and checked the oil pressure cut off switch but it still wont pump. Does anyone know where the feul pump relay is? or other problems that may cause the feul pump to not run?

I didnt see it anywhere under the hood. Where you just said there is a black plastic box sorta thing about 6" long and about 4" wide (kinda looks like some sort of deflector for air into the HVAC or something) is it under that?

Oil pressure switch isn't a cutoff, it's a cut on. With oil pressure the pump should run. Jumper wire between the two oil swich terminals, key in "run" the pump should operate.

I have the van and I have a jeep cherokee with title problems. Does anyone think it would be a super huge project to make the van 4x4? Could I use the cherokee axls and drive train?

heres a pic of the cherokee but I dont have one of the van yet.

Astro has a full frame , bracketry could be welded to it . Those axles aren't strong enough for the extra weight though .

I was just thinking about the strenth of the axles. I think you could be right about them not being strong enough. On the other hand it wouldnt be a extreme 4x4 with big tires. If I could get the 265x75x16's that are on the cherokee under the van and just have the 4wd to get my dad into fishin/campin spots it would be good enough.

I think its a little to wide for those axles now that I think about it. maybe some of the older grand wagoneer axles would be wide enough without being too wide?

My dad has the van on a fishing trip right now so I cant even measure it. My uncle and my father like to go on overnight or even 3 day fishing trips so the van is about perfect micro motorhome. But it gets stuck on wet grass as it is. Its old and I got it cheap ($200) but it runs great still. If I could build it into a overnighter camper it would be cool for my dad.

Another thought is, does it share the front suspention of a old style s10? Maybe a 2wd lift 2-3" and some sort of limited slip or locker in the rear and some all terrain tires would be enough. It has crazy fiberglass rear leaf springs too....:doah:

A locker and better tires might be enough for what your dad does...

Go look at this web site

You can do just about anything to them that you want. I had one with a 350 in it a guy in Layton has one with a straight axle front end was selling it awhile ago pretty cheap. Mine is getting lowered a bit and a 350 when the 4.3 goes bad already got the windows tinted and fat tires on the back :D
