well, i know its a good axle and all, but can it be used in a chevy at all. i can get it for a good price so i thought i would ask

thanks

well im going to assume you are talking about a front d60. And yes I belive it is still good to use. You will have to swap out the transfer case though for a drivers side drop. Also the ford 60 is high pinion so thats nice to have

The spring perches are not the same on those 80's leaf spring Hi-Pinion 60's so that will require some work. It wont just bolt up...

Yup the ford is spaced 36" the chevys are 32.5"

OK is it still worth about the same as a chevy 60? he only wants 450

depending ont he condition. I bet you could easily make a profit flippign it.

sas guys could use it...

GM IFS guys would give important body parts for it.

Reverse cut gears and high pinion...I've also heard the housing is somehow superior stock for stock to the GM D60. Not sure on the later. It's better than ours stock.

I've seen them go in good working used condition for $1200. Needs a rebuild for $750. Higher and lower on occasion.
