I have a 1986 GMC Jimmy up for sale! I have done all the drive train and running gear myself. I bought it from the previous owner completely stock. I since replaced the sm465 tranny with an Auto turbo 400 with a np208 transfer case, axles were replaced with a locked rear corporate 14 bolt and the front is a dana 44, both with 4.10 gears. Both drivelines were built at a local driveline shop, balanced and spicer u-joints were pressed in. I did a rear disc brake swap using Off Road Design brackets. All stainless brake lines. Im not going to say it stops on a dime but it is way better than the drums. The tires are TSL boggers in 18 39.5 15. I have maybe been 30 miles on them since brand new as well as the rest of the drive train/running gear. Has dual Skyjacker Hydro 8000 shocks in the front and singles in the rear. Skyjacker 8" leafs front and rear, no blocks, all suspension. The engine runs extremely tight, no knocking, pinging of any sorts!!! Nor does it leak any fluids. Has a edelbrock intake and 650 cfm carb with flowtech headers back to dual flowmaster 40s. The body is pretty strait, it has a dent in the driver door that was there when I got it, and seems to have been tried to be popped out. the rest of the body is pretty straight. The previous owner tried to rattle can it red and failed miserably which in my opinion is the worst part about the whole truck. Previously it was dark blue from the factory and still is in the interior and in the door jams. It was always my intention to repaint it the factory blue and was told by a painter locally that it would be a pretty easy job. Other than that there is absolutely no rust on the vehicle other than minor surface. Definately nothing rotting through anywhere. Interior is ok. No rips in the seats or anything but no cargo carpet, Only front. All guages work as wel as all the lights. If you have any additional questions, PM me and I will give you my # or call you, which ever you prefer. $4000 OBO
