Hey guys selling my 86 K10 Short Wide Box. My son and I bought this truck about a year ago and now he moved out and does not want anything to do with it. We did alot of work to it. New paint, dashpad, CD player, even put new speakers in dash and behind seat, 15x10 Mickey Thompson Alum wheels, brand new Cooper 33x12.5x15 tires, stainless rocker panels, Bushwacker fender flares, headders, new grill and emblemn, new clutch, and 208 transfercase. It just breaks my heart to sell it after we put so much work in it together but I have a 84 real simular that I bought 2 day before my accident that I restored with my other son, the pic in my avatar, so I dont need a second 4x4 hanging around. We even painted the inside of the box. Asking 4500 OBO. My wife wants new carpet so I have to sell this one and my 84 2WD with a rebuilt 396 but dont figure a 2wd would sell here. If anyone is interested contact me here or give me a call.

What motor, interior options and what about this 2wd with a 396. I am in the market possibly for a street rod and that sounds about right...although a 502 would be a little more fun.:D

Seriously though, you won't be out anything but time to post up the other truck. There are plenty of us around that would like to have at least 2 maybe even 3, 4 or 5 of these trucks. Me personally, I would like to have one of each body style in each of the driven axle configurations. I have a lot of wants and habits.:wink1:

The other truck is an 84 SWB 2WD. Where to start, the motor; my email is [email protected] and that is what the motor is out of, my 72 rs/ss camaro I had before my accident. I sold the car but kept the motor and tires and wheels. The motor was rebuilt in my shop about 2 years ago but only has around 900 miles on it. I drove the truck 4 times last year and only 3 times the previous year with one trip being 300 miles and all of the others being under 30 miles. Bottom end; Stock FOrged Steele crank date coded out of a 68 375 HP 396, stock rods with ARP rod bolts, Hyperneutetic Keith Black pistons and Hastings molly rings, Crane hyd. flatt tappet cam, I will post specs, Doug THorley headders, off of my camaro, they were all I had at the time but I bought a set of Thorleys for a 2wd truck but I have never put them on, still in my garage in the box. Heads are a closed chamber 92CC off of the same 68 396 with large oval ports, have been opened up for bigger stainless valves, ported and polished, comp springs and ARP screw in studs. Edelbrock 750cfm carb and Preformer RPM intake. Stock 700r4 tranny, but has hel up fine. Lowered the front with 3in drop spindels and the rear 5in with shackel kit and took a spring out. 3.40 posi rear. Years ago I took my stock camaro/corvette ralley wheels and sent them to Willmate Wheel in Portland and had the made into 15x10's and added BFG 295/50/15's. We drilled the rear axesl and drums for 5 on 4/3/4 and put thm on the back and I bought a set of 15x8 Wheel Vintiques ralleys for the front with BFG 265/60/15's for the front. Steele cowel hood and new 2 1/2in wxh with FLO-PRO mufflers, sounds extremly great. I dont know what to ask since I will never get out of it what I put in. It does need paint. Has no rust and just a little bondo in the right rear box. I will take some new pics today of the truck.

Haven't you ever heard of paragraphs? :D

i like the 2wd truck man! what are you looking to get for it? Its too bad your on the other side of the country, my dads been lookin for a modified street pickup

Muddybuddy I have no idea what to ask for the 2wd truck. I know with the price of fuel these days it is only worth about 1/2 of what I put into it. I forgot to add that it also has a cd player, new 5in speakers in dash and 6x9's behind the seat that I built special corner boxes for so they are in the stock location.
Found the cam card, it is a Crane part #134241, .534 intake/.553 exh lift, 286 intake/296 exh duration. Aslo has roller rockers. I will get a under hood pic tonight.
Let me think about a price.

Here is a coupl of pics of the motor. It is real dusty. We just pulled it out of the garage after 6 months being stored. I talked to the muffler guy and they are V-FORCE.

I like it. Definitely wish you were closer. What about the spot in the body? Are the seats in good shape? Power options?

As for price...I'll give ya $1000.00 cash... if you take care of getting it here.:D:haha:

Dual gas tankes, I would guess between 400-450hp and close to that on the torque. The spot on the body is just a skim of bondo that has cracked. Seat is in good shape but has a cover on it.
It is a non A/C truck but that made it easier to get the motor in and will make it easier to put plugs in. It is not that bad for being a non a/c truck, the back slider is tinted so that helps.

And i would love for you to have it. Alothough NJ is quite a ways away, If I needed to I could propally drive it as far as Nebraska. I am thinking about doing what little body work it needs and putting it in a sealer and primer.

That is a nice 2wd. I sold mine for 2500.00 basically same setup but a 77.
