Hello

Last night I started pulling my tanny and transfer case so I can put a new tranny in today. I appears that the transfer case has been seal with silacone at the case halfs and the rear out put nose cone. It is hard to tell where all the leaks are coming from so I would like to reaseal everything while it is out.

Any suggest? What kind of mess am I getting into when I pull the rear nose cone off and when I split the case halfs? anyone have a pictoral?

thanks

What t-case you workin on?

If his truck is stock it will have the 208 and assuming since he said case halves tells me either 208/241.

At any rate not much help but from what i hear it is an easy job to split the case and not much to go wrong. Get yourself a book and read before you dive into it.

NP208 transfer case.....Also when I took it out to wash it off, I tipped it over and oil was running out of a small just above where the spedo would connect. The woul be considered the top of the transfer case when mounted in the truck......Is there supposed to be some vent or something in this hole? It is a mystery as I did not take anything out and it is not a threaded hole.....

thanks
