86' K5 build

What's crackin?

Got this 86' K5 Silverado with 305 700R4, got a smoking deal on it, minimal rust, clean interior. The 305 in it was super tired. Everything around it from PO is new.
So far everything's stripped off the block.(which is for sale) picked up a built 350 with Vortec heads from a Pontiac owner, he had painted it Pontiac blue, haha. :haha:Not sure if I want to keep it like that. Now if I can quit working long enough to finish the swap. Really want to hear this thing run. :burnout:

image.jpeg image.jpeg Update on build got some time off from work, old motor is out, repainting 350 should have it buttoned up by the weekend to see how it runs

The Chevrolet orange looks a lot better than that Pontiac blue did.

I'm resurrecting this build this year! Whoop! :saweet:I found some 35in MTRs on Craigslist for pretty good price! Spec'd a quote this week for a 4in lift from ORD, going to place the order tomorrow and hopefully be able to pick it up next weekend. I thought I'd make a trip out of it and check out their shop. :weld:

Long overdue finally some time on my hands. Here’s an update:
Found a “donor” blazer “running and driving” for the “cost” of 8 lug front 10 bolt with crossover steering and a rear 14bff with locker 410gears ‍♂️ Swapped them goodies over to my build, bolted my old axles to the donor and flipped it.
Took me a couple months as it warmed up, driveway/backyard build amirite.
Just a few pictures during the zero rate/add a leaf from ORD process also moved the axle back 1”
FYI If you plan to do this be sure to clamp your Springs together before you cut the bolt lol ‍♂️♂️
