My 86k5 350 has a new water pump, thermostat, radiator, coolant and the truck runs consistantly at 210 however the heat is never much warmer than luke warm. Does anyone have any ideas? It does not matter what position I sellect defrost, heater vent etc. It seems almost a little cooler when on vent.

Any Ideas?

thanks in advance

Where is your thermostat located. It may be installed in something other than a water port. If you temperature is constant then I would move it to another location as a first start. Second thought have you verified that your water pump is rotating in the correct direction?
My new crate with the serpentine belt has a reverse rotation.
Good Luck

Is your heater core plugged with mice bedding or similar. Is it the original, maybe its shot too. Are your heater hoses new too?

Possibly the little tab on top of the heater box(under the dash) could maybe have gotten broken and not switching all the way over to hot???
Mines got that problem and i just moved it over to stay on hot till I get time to get a new piece...
