86 stock blazer installing 2" tuff country lift. I'm just being told that Bilstein 5100 series shocks won't fit? Is this true and if so, what are my Bilstein options or other?

Put the lift on. And go measure, and then buy shocks from those measurements.

What do you mean when you say "they won't fit"? I did a quick search and Bilstein lists a 5100 series shock specifically for K5's with 2-2.5" of lift. If those didn't work for some reason I'm sure they make many versions in various lengths with the correct mounting point style on the ends.

Thanks for the responses. As it turns out, the problem wasn't that the Bilsteins wouldn't fit. The dilemma is that Bilstein does not offer an auxiliary shock for the duals up front while other brands do. After reading through hundreds of threads on this topic, my mind was dead set on Bilsteins. I've also read here that the auxiliary shock is not needed. I would appreciate your comments keeping in mind that I know I'm lucky to have a stock blazer in the great condition that it is and I'm torn when someone tries to persuade me to do anything other than what was original on the truck.

Don't run duals up front. They ran those back in the day because shocks sucked. And cuz 80's

Sure do appreciate all of your responses. Since you are in the voting mood, have narrowed the new tire choices down to two on 15 x 8 stock rally wheels:

1. BFG KO2 33 x 12.5 x 15

or

2. BFG 32 x 11.5 x 15

80% highway use 20% off road

if you ever have a tire problem the 33x12.50 will be so much faster to find a replacement for . much more common size.

I want to make sure I don't end up with too much blurb with the 33x12.5x15 on the 15x8 rally wheels which is why i'm considering the smaller size. My tire dealer has agreed to mount each and let me take a look, just wondering what ya'll think

the 33X12.50 will look just fine. This is 35X12.50 on stock wheels.
