Hi guys. I'm new to the site. Been searching through some threads trying to find some good info, but was hoping some of the older members might be able to point me in the right direction.
I'm currently in the collecting funds/planning phase of my build. I plan to build a late model K5 Blazer with a 6.5L Turbo Detroit diesel (shooting for 250 to 300 hp) with a NV4500 trans, NP208 tcase, and Dana 60's front and rear (4.10's). I've got a rebuilt frame and a very usable body (minor dents and dings with a tiny bit of surface rust) sitting on the D60's and a 4 inch suspension lift. I have the tcase and trans from some parts trucks, and i'm talking to a place here in michigan that builds some nice 6.5's.
I have a pretty good idea how i want this to end up, just a little concerned about bringing all these different parts together properly. Namely, what master cylinder will work (with proper proportioning valves and such), if there is a steering arm that will work without modification or if i'll need to custom fab one to connect from a stock steering gear to the D60's. If there will be any major problems installing a stick shift, clutch pedal, and hydraulic clutch.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
