I am getting ready to rebuild my 87 tbi350 shortly. I know I can't run a heavy cam because of the computer, so what are some of my best options to build a strong, torque-filled, and reliable tbi 350? I plan on doing everything so the more input the better. I am running 40's right now so I can really use the extra torque. I plan to purchase most of my parts thru Advance Auto Parts so please try to steer me in the direction with part numbers if they are handy. I really appreciate any help...

Heads, intake and exhaust, with a matching cam will be where ALL your power is made.

Focus on modern "fast burn" chambers (Vortecs and the like), as well as an intake and long tube headers that will support the increased airflow.

Cam with an LSA of 112*+, and custom, modified PROM.

Can you buy stuff elsewhere? I would expect the "hard parts" to be quite a bit more, if available, from a chain auto parts store, than say Summit or Jegs.
