Ok, I have built many, many SBC's and BBC's in my day.............but I have a few questions about parts interchanging. I know the crankshaft, one piece rear main, flexplate, and valve covers are different on 87-95 blocks.

How about the intakes?? Will any non-TBI/TPI SBC intake bolt onto the 87-95 block and heads?

Will a standard rotation (non-serpentine) SBC water pump work?

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

P.S. The casting # is 14093638

The intake pattern is different if using the newer heads. An older style of head can be used on that block though. Aftermarket heads can be had with any type intake pattern you desire.

Intakes can be made to work with these heads, if you are wanting to use the earlier style....
