87 blazer build.

why thank you! my buddy and i were lookin at it lil bit ago and noticed only part of the break is freash.like it was cracked to begin with.just glad it happened messin around rather than out in the stix where id need it to get out!lol

Meh, who needs 4 wheel drive when you've got a 2.72:1 low gear in your t-case?

you dont find yourself needind 4wheel very often? ill be honest,i just got this blazer!im still nervous of where it will and wont go.ive had 2 lifted yotas that i rarely ever needed 4.but thats why i wanna go wheel with some other folks!lol i need a winch at least!i got a trusty come-along tho!

Well, I was sort of kidding. Plus, you'd have to engage 4 wheel drive to get the 2.72:1 low gear in the transfer case. I recently bought my '90, and am really impressed with the low gearing. My previous Blazer wasn't set up with proper gears, but even still I can tell the difference between the 1.98:1 low of the 205 vs. the 2.72:1 of the 241. :D Crawls real nice. I've used the 4 wheel drive a few times already, but I suspect I could have driven everything in 2 wheel drive, it just happens that you get so much more control with 4 - obviously. :D

Oh, mine currently has the auto locking hubs so I have no choice. ;) Dana 60 in January will fix that tho! Yes, I have a build thread for this truck. I'll find the link for ya.

Yeah its an 87&the auto hubs were replaced with warn manual locking hubs.and thanx man! I had no clue whats in it other than engine&tranny.i know its got some nuts for what it is.
