I guess I have decided to part this van out . . . what parts are useful to use on trucks??
the obvious stuff like engine and trans (350 TBI and turbo 400) but what other stuff will interchange with trucks??
I don't want to scrap anything that can/will be useful.

keep all the good stuff!

You might keep the radiator if its any good--not sure if it will fit a C or K series, but its possible, and big vans usually have big radiators...

The rear leaf springs might be of some use too,if they dont fit your truck you could use the leaves for helpers,or sell them to someone for more than scrap value if they are in decent shape...other than that, little things like headlight switches, heater blower motor and resistor, might be interchangeable,I rob all the bulbs and fuses out of the trucks I scrap, you can never have too many of them kicking around ...I even kept an entire wiring harness out of a few rucks--saved my butt when I had a wire fire ,and I've been cutting plugs and peices of wire off another for years,Its nice to have that weird factory plug you need for the altenator,etc..and the wires color codes will still match if you need to splice in a new section of wire..if it has a good radio, thats a keeper too!....

spring hangers for flips, hell maybe it has good bukit seats?

oh yank the windsheald washer pump and tank i have two on my truck:waytogo:

never run out

I would keep the rear end ( if it is a 14FF) most folks like the wider Van versions .

The power steering pump and resivour is supposed to be larger or atleast more capacity .
Check to see if the blower motor is the same dimensions as the truck stuff ( might be a stronger motor in a van) ????

windshield and radiator springs are not same as pickups and such

radiators narrower
springs too long
windshield way too large

ive had many '74-'79 chebby vans, all utility or passenger ones, and even a '79 schoolbus dually G30 one, most i drove til was bored with them then i parted them, been through this many times :P

good luck
