Bought this truck in October of 2013. Got it for a steal in flagstaff for 1200 bucks. Thanks to my brother Down4thakrown. Tow truck guy got it off the rez due to the owner being a drunk and his wife giving it away due to bad habits, his loss my gain. Got it with a 4 in lift new paint job, 35 in tires with Dana 44 and 12 bolt flow master exhaust. only thing i did till now was rebuild the 700r. Now after being harassed by my brother for 2 years i decided to go for it and start with some upgrades. In this first pic last year a came across some 39.5 tires for 300 bucks. little to big for suspension so eventually sold them for 1000. down in Phoenix. I also added the grill.

So I finally worked out all the bs. Moved rear perches out to fit k5. Replaced bunch of studs, wire wheeled axles sealed diff covers and painted green. Big difference with the 4.10 gears. Now I need to make Fram more rigid damn body flex lol.

Yes. It worked really well. Just used some military pull off rims and it's sits about the same as a centered rim on a srw. The Dana 70 HD is huge. 4 inch diameter tube. Pumpkin clearance same as Dana 60.

you'll like that upgrade.

Did you get a frame brace? If not, take it easy until you get that installed so you don't crack the frame.

I'm really excited just went up to flagstaff and filmed my brother going up some hills. Can't wait to hit the trail this weekend.

Put the cross over in. Had some issues due to the previous owner swapped a 70 4wd gear box. So I pulled the pump and installed new hoses and boom. Works great no leaks no issues. It's amazing the difference in handling and flex up rocks.

I posted videos of my short test run in North phoenix. Check out the media section.

I ran into the same thing on my "84" K10, it had the older flared setup on it.

Went to log corral trail with my brother and man was it sweet. It didn't start well I blew a tire and my fuel pump hose kept coming off. O well worked right through it. Very pleased with my rig only a few obstacles I couldn't get over but the cross over steering is incredibly worth the money. Time for some lockers. Check media page for a short clip of adventure.
