In my shop. Doing stuff.
Took a while to get this. Has had high idle sense wheeling last weekend. O2 voltage and injector duty cycle are way out of whack. Not sure on the other stuff. Where do I start?

Some guys with a lot more experience with this setup than me will chime in soon, I'm sure.
But I would take a long hard look at the o2 sensor. You may have water in the connector, or something shorted.
I suspect that the false readings its sending to the computer is most of your problems.
You might try unplugging it and running it a few minutes that way to see what the readings look like.
If you still have a voltage reading with it unplugged, you need to check the wiring.

O2 sensor is my fault, I have the decimal point in wrong spot. The number is correct.

Injector Duty Cycle works with a conversions off of BPW. If you did not apply the patch to change O2 Cross Count to BPW in the chip before data logging... it will not work.

Email me the .xdl file and I'll look it over. Do you have an issue we are looking for? I tried to get zip files approved for upload but no go.

No idea what that means. I am paranoid about changing stuff I do not understand. Do you have a thread somewhere that explains this? I will send the file later tonight. At a friends for dinner now.

Funny thing is, and maybe this is normal, the truck was running high idle and the TB sounded like it was sucking air for all it was worth. Started reading the data and the idle slowly came down. Before that, the cold high idle would not work. Ran fine when it was warm. But then the high idle thing started. Also, when I plug the ALDL cable into the truck, the truck runs better or at least the idle comes up about 50rpm. Not plugged into the laptop. And if I change the switch, it runs better with the resistor active.

Unless your burning chips? There's nothing to change. The Patches are more an advanced thing. You change what data the chip puts out, in this case it is replacing the Prom ID and O2 Cross Counts for Spark Advance and Base Pulse Width. Both more useful data.

It may run better with the 10k switch on... but don't do it because it will now give false data for whatever problem your looking for. The 1227747 ECM that comes in these trucks does not need 10k switch for data.

Like idle is increased, depending on chip, to 750-1000 RPM... spark advance is also increased with 10k switch on.

The sucking air noise you hear is air going through the IAC valve instead of over the throttle blades. This does not help idle! Since the injectors are on top of throttle blades, the idle quality is much better when all the air possible mixes with the gas. This helps mixture and keeps your wet intake as dry as possible.

Why it changed? I don't know?

What kind if issue are we looking for?

The O2 sensor reading is not much help in data because the ECM causes Cross Counts. So it is constantly, when in Closed Loop going high/low for the Catalytic Converter.

Sounds like a bad throttle body base gasket (vacuum leak). It usually happens at the front, where there is a large space between the bolts. Listen in that area with a piece of vacuum hose held to your ear. It will be obvious when you find it.

The high idle and sacking noise were the issue. They are both gone. I did not change anything. I hate when that happens.

Should only be there cold, while warming up it will go away! :waytogo:

I'd still look through your Data Log to let you know how it's running?

Seriously, just replace the gasket. It only costs a few bucks and takes less than 10 minutes. You don't even need to disconnect the fuel lines or anything. I've seen the same exact symptoms a hundred times. Does the data log say your IAC was closed? That's a big hint right there. Also, if short term fuel trim (integrator) is high, that will tell you it's adding fuel to compensate for the leak.
