Dude...that thing looks exactly like the Inspector Gadget mobile....love it!!!

here's the other shots from that day... these show the angle better.... I've got both upper sides pretty much done now, still have the 3 lower bars and the flanges on both sides to do, final welding, etc...

First off, Phenomenal build!
You have inspired me to get some work done on my junk.
But, there is something is missing from your CB mount there. You need to save a spot for this!

Go get your ham license and one of those. :-) The APRS and mapping capabilities are excellent!
There have been times where my CB just wouldn't get out yet my ham rig can hit a repeater and call out for help. Incredibly useful when you are in the trail miles from anywhere and can call for parts or god forbid somebody is critically injured from some kind of trail accident.
The ham rig is invaluable. With a repeater you can go for miles! In Kalifornia there is a linked repeater system that can talk from northern cal to southern cal and across to Arizona all with a little 5 watt hand held radio. ham = good!
Back to your regularly scheduled fabrication goodness.

Just read the whole thread, awesome build. I really like the floor structure, front bumper, and all the rust prevention. The wiring system is amazing too. I'm looking for a K5 now, this has definitely given me some ideas for when I get one.

thanks.... eh, the old mark long, chop, sharpie, grind, fit, grind, fit, sharpie, carbide burr, fit, grind, rinse, repeat method... 
that front sidebar was probably the hardest fishmouth i've done... what a PITA.... came out good, it's just time consuming...

I know you'll get to it, but what have you kicked around for sheetmetal work to clear those 38" TSL's?
I was thinking of adapting the look of an M-715 inner fender, then narrow the existing outer skin to mine to clear the 38's with a 6" lift.
maybe run a 1-3/4" tube around the lip of the inner fender.

well, the plan at this point is just to take the fang off at the tube bumper... then section the back lip as far back to the firewall as I can get it.... probably gonna have to massage the back of the wheelwell too... don't plan on anything for the top of the opening at this point... i'll see once the axles are in, etc...

Yeah, I got a thing for M-37's and M715's....really nice with a healthy smallblock in them.

I'm really not sure if I've seen anything similar design-wise to what I just did... I do know how I came up with the idea, but I'm not sure if I've ever seen something like it.. Usually the angled ones go to the floor, not the bedside height...
