87 K5 Build...Hmmm, whats that Ryoken up to? stay tuned...

thanks for the confirm... :D

sigh... soooo disappointed, and a little annoyed.. my seats showed up from PRP today... nice seat, too bad they screwed the order up!!!!

wrong fabrics, color....... grrrrr..... now I'm gonna have to wait another 3 weeks... :(

Bummer! Were you ready to do interior fabrication already? Maybe more time out front. Still, it sucks, hopefully some wee-wees get wacked at PRP and they get their act together.

On a side note, love watching your work. Excellent fab skills, and I'm assuming quite a bit of patience too! I'm jealous of both!!!

hey, thanks man..... :D

yeah, I was so stoked to get em today... ordered them thru one of our newer vendors, Trent Fab... Apparently whatever mexican PRP had pulling fabric that day was color blind... the backs and piping where supposed to be black, and they where grey...

not to mention the sides where the right color, but tweed, not vinyl like I wanted... so apparently fed ex should be picking em back up in a couple days... I got the extra wide and 4" extra tall, they seemed nice in that regard...

and yeah, I've been holding off on my cab floor, tunnel gig till I got the seats...

also, now that I've decided to just do the cage now, I'll do it all at once... I figure doing the cage at the same time could be advantagous with no floor in.. easier to fit/weld up, etc...

While they are sitting there you can start doing planning and measuring, you know while waiting for them to be picked up.

Might save you some time while you are waiting for the correct seats to ship out to you.

yup, good point... They're sitting at work, I'll have to take a tape measure to em... even then, I already knew the dimensions from the website..

it's more one of those "so much nicer to physically see the part in there" kinda fit things.....

I only wanna do this cage/floor/tunnel/slider thingy once.... :wink1:

with that, it just shifts things around a tad.. plenty of labor down there.. I'll stay concentrated up front for now with the bender coming in, etc...

heck, if I get stuck, I can always go finish the wheelwell sectioning.... :haha:

hey, this monstrosity of a thread hit 60,000 views..

thanks for the interest guys!:bow::bow:

Fazio's steel yard still around think they were in Williamstwon or Turnersville, try there for DOM.

haha, talked to them this morn... :haha: thanks...

my welder buddy turned me on to them, out on the westside of the state... he said, 2 days, 7 to $8 a foot... little bit more than I wanted to pay... wont have the coin till next week anyway.. so I'm still shopping a bit for now... I think midwest4x4 was about $7 a foot, after shipping, to my door.. so i'll have to see... those are 9's tho.. really wanted a long one for the B-hoop.. didn't want to have to make a sleeved splice or anything...

Your a popular guy! :bow::haha:

I on the other hand, don't always make people feel all warm and fuzzy.... :wink1::doah::ignore::screwy::(:haha::crazy:

took my first sick day in 6 months today... garage here I come! :saweet::grind::hack::weld::woot:

hmmmm, some quick tape measure work indicates I need at least 85' of tube.. so 100' of 2" .120 it'll be for now.

if I can get 5 20' sticks delivered to the house for under $800, I'm gonna do it in the next week or so...

Do it up!

I've had a heck of a time sourcing DOM in my neck of NJ also.
All the steel guys here in the Trenton area dont carry round tube:confused:
One told me they only sell by the ton:eek1:

Although a few tons of DOM would be cool:D

Haha a cool price to!!!

Buy a ton and sell the remaining 1800 lbs to other wheelers at a profit. :D

BTW, what is all this talk of page views? My last blog entry has 29 views and 28 of them are me. :doah:
