87 K5 Build...Hmmm, whats that Ryoken up to? stay tuned...

That's what I get for posting before I think things through. I bet you guys are on to something. Wait a minute, maybe we found something else that Ryoken can do to that truck.:doah:

:haha:

yup, she's the mistress at the moment... do you really think I could put the hr's in on her that I do if I had a current girlfriend? :haha:

pretty sure the rig is why I split with the ex-fiancee, tho she would always say the opposite... :dunno:

hopefully I'll be finishing the grill this weekend.. few other projects on the agenda as well...

Funny, I have lost more than one girl due to me spending to much time on my suburban. I can remember one that left me in college. I was running 38"TSL Radials and a 1/2 ton rearend. I would replace it at least once a month. Mud and 38s and 1/2 ton with a heavy right foot dont mix!

Keep up the good work!!!

Women are all over the place and once you got one ya get sick of it soon enough. Plus what ya got is what ya get. But a good truck is hard to find, and once you have one you do what ever it takes to keep it. Plus There's always a simple, relitively cheap way to improve it.:D

Seriously though, Awesome build man. Keep it up. :waytogo:
:bow::bow::bow::bow:

I've tried to find what all you did to your front fenders, and I found where you sectioned the rear part of the fender, but did you ever detail what you did to the front of the fenders where the bumper wraps around?

nope... but very, very soon... that may be one of the projects i get to this weekend... finishing off the fangs...

Some guys really do have all the luck!:waytogo:

Why did you choose the 700R4? Seems like everyone has a woody for the sm465. The 465 may have alot of good qualities, but that wide ratio isn't one of them IMHO. Guess it depends on what you're doin with it.

well, that's exactly it... bulletproof, but shift's like a dump truck... I have a complete manual version in the dungeon out of a 77.. i should sell that in the "Ryoken Rummage Sale" this spring... tho it's not hydro...

I really wanted an OD setup, as I plan to do some multi-state driving with the rig... and obviously it's what came in the rig... everyones all over 4L80's, but i didn't want computer controlled... and i was already setup with a 700 and the 205 out of the 77... plus i already have the Art Carr for the 700...

plus, I just wanna do it because of the bad rap it gets... make it bulletproof.... I'm stoked on running the rmvb and no tv cable... guarantee it'll be the ONLY rig that has a permanent trans pressure gauge.... :pimp:

here's a minor update.... remote filter bracket... need to put the mounting holes in it, but other than that it's done...

3/16 th's.... the center 2 are connected because I'm gonna run a center bracket for the grill off it there... and it gets a mounting bolt there...

boy, the pics at 640 wide look tiny on my new monitor.... :eek1: they'd look great at 1000 wide... :haha: colors are so much better too...

Summit order weds..... :woot:

Man you should rig up some pipe to the oil pan so you never have to get under it to change oil!!! lol that would be sick. Have you ever heard of the remote grease fitting set ups? I was working on an air handler at work that had them connected to the blower motor bearings. You just run greas lines into the engine bay and the other ends that replace the zerk fittings on the steering parts. Basically just a clear polyvinal tubing. I thought it would be a cool thing to have and less odd dirty places to get in to grease the front end.

I've seen them on some of the bigger boats.. but i don't work on stuff nearly that big anymore.. biggest i see these days is about 55'.. those where 70' to 90' er's...

heck, oil changes are a joke on a lifted rig, almost a pleasure... but it'll be nice having the filters up front.. I made it so i can change em without removing the skidplate...

i could always add an exchange system like in the boats

yes, I am kidding..... :haha:

Lol just thinkin of some cool idea haha. Think of the looks you would get if you just brought it into an oil change shop and had a pipe coming off the oil pan to the front bumper haha.

Are you running one of those remote filter for your tranny?
I would like to do that. I think the spin on filter is great on my allision, I change it every time I change the oil.
Would be nice to do that for my 700R4.

here's a couple others i had showing cooler locations...

finally figured out exactly what part #'s i need... my Summit Wishlist is stupid amounts of coin.... :doah: what else is new? :haha:
