87 K5 Build...Hmmm, whats that Ryoken up to? stay tuned...

yeah, it was on there for like a month, then i went to see it again last week and it was gone.. iirc, it was like pennsy or maryland.. a haul, but doable.. i wouldn't have cared much about it if it didn't have the Cummin's... i'd really rather find a reg cab... it'll be easier to keep the WB in the range I'm looking for... but it seems i actually see more CC's listed than reg cab...

yup, thats the one.. there's another ad kicking around for 5 g's that links ya to that ad...

something like that I'd probably shorten the WB up 4" or so, chop a couple feet off the frame and do the tube bed..

I asked the same ? a while back... he told me he sold it!!:D

I`m sure he is busy with work and Jd has also got the right answer.

Can`t wait till you got more time to work on it again man!:thumb:

eh, all quite in the dungeon these days.... had to stop funding it till I get my DD.. that gave me an excuse to not do labor along with the crispy back... tho I feel guilty falling behind, as there's always labor to do...

I've got about $3500 saved right now... hopefully I can find a pickup in the next couple months and get back to the K5 by x-mas...

right idea, wrong mill... GM, I want a BB...

the GM are proving few and far between, so I'm also looking at second gen Dodge Cummins rigs now too..

Why second gen and not 1st gen? a 1st gen 4x4 is one stout rig, although slightly lacking in the creature comfort department it still a fun and dependable rig. My 1st gen is the LE addition and has power everything, cruise and Ice cold ac, and I only payed 2400... Just a thought.

i want the p-pump cummins and nv4500.... be nice if they had kept the KP60 for the sec gens... creature comforts aren't high on the priority list... nor paint... just the platform...

still hoping to find a GM product, but I'll run out of time quick so I thought I'd expand the search criteria...

actually I have a lead as of a few minutes ago on a real clean mid/late 90's for like 6 g's... gotta get the particulars and go peek at it... tho it'll be a month before I have the rest of the coin...

well, here's the closest I have to an update... looks like there's a chance I may get a jan/feb layoff.. talks of it.. I'm begging... I may have been out that anyway after I go to a doc in dec.. but I'd kill to have the winter off... as of today I have 2 months to go or so and the back is beyond bad... so....... I know I'll at least be somewhat farting around/killing it on the rig... I'll be broke with time.... :pimp:

Hope you back gets better. Also, It would be awesome to get a few months off! Would you go back to the same job? That would be nice!!

thanks... :) it's gotten much much worse in the last month or so, and has started going down my leg lately.... progressively wrecking it daily...

talk about killing spree personality lately.... :doah:  :haha:

hopefully whatever damage I've done, can heal up in 2 months... after 25 yrs of slammin in pools, my back ended up being claimed by heavy lifting.... :doah:

actually gave a "tour" of the rig just now to my bud's boss.. he's a Heep guy...

oh, and yeah, it'd be a temp layoff... 8 weeks more than likely.....

wow man take care of yourself.your back aint no joke.my dads on his i think 12th sergery on his back.lost 4 disks and is now 3 inches shorter.he finally got it fused with titanium now.it still hurts but doesnt put him in a chair every couple of months.a good break in the middle of winter will be nice.id get to the dock and check it out.its definitely a pinched nerve at the least right now since its runin down your leg.the truck will be there when you can physically do it again.a permanent back injury will not help with life of work.
