87 K5 Build...Hmmm, whats that Ryoken up to? stay tuned...

I agree... ;) :haha:

just thinking about the effort (money) :doah: Mutt is about to get, as opposed to throwing it at this rig, is kinda sad...... yet, revviiiiiiiing as he!!... :haha:

funny thing about that reply I made is.... I fully know the people that would reply to this...

yet, the people I "implied' in those posts, just wont "get it" and will continue with their hate of what I build... coughchickenfanscough

so be it, don't expect any "hubcaps" to be seen any time soon...

I love looking at your build and appreciate the craftsmanship going into this k5. I wish I had the knowledge and skill you do. :eek1: As you know I have a hard time with what I'm building and need advice on almost everything. I would love to be able to set the bar and show others what I can do by myself.

you push yourself more than I did at your age... props...

I just don't want that to beat you down.. or some intraweb pressure thing... :waytogo:

I may not comment often because a lot of what you've been doing lately is over my head. Certain things I love about your build and other things I'm not so crazy about, but that's the beauty of it. Its your build and not mine. I definitely appreciate the hard tedious labor that goes into this. I just wish I had some of your skills.

I can't wait to see it finished but at the same time, without your builds there wouldn't be a lot going on fab-wise. My personal preference would be to finish the K5 first and then go crazy on the Mutt tube....but I understand why you did what you did in the order you did it....you were riding a bicycle to work for a while....
plus you've spent a lot of time building tools...blaster and lathe...and remodeling the Lab....

thanks... I know some of the things I have built aren't everyone's cup o' tea.. and that's fine.... it's what makes the world go round...

I just hope that the people that don't "get it" understand it's value and originality.... I've been semi-watching trends and build tendancies for decades, from pastels to dubs, and I think some of my ideas are pretty damn original and innovative...

and being just some hotrod hack from joysey, if I can interject some different mods/ideas into some of the industry "standards", it's all I want...

yup.. thanks... and it was a tough decision. as some may remember, I've changed my mind on this.. originally, I was gonna pound this rig.. than do the tubebed next yr....

the DD'er," get it neat", "stop driving a balsa stage around" factor overrode that... and as mentioned, the pilfering has put this so far behind, it made that much more sense...

I'm hoping that an intense 4 month pounding of Mutt will result in some eye-catching efficient results, and I can get back to this... :D

Yeah, but when is this thing going to be finished? :haha:

Keep in mind that many of your biggest critics don't have any context for a build like this..... You've probably got more hours invested in your glovebox door than they've got in their entire truck.

Build what you like. Nobody gets close to 1,000,000 views on a build thread because people hate it.

This Build is over the top.:waytogo:
You have even inspired me on my build.:D
Really enjoy watching your skills.
Keep up the great work.
I understand when people ask and commit on why did you build it like that.
Just build it the way you want it to be, and don't worry what other think.
Please put that time into your build.:doah:

it's all good.... just a few neers in me justifying my insanity.... ;)

5 more build days for the circus wagon, let's see how much I can get done... :deal: was just down working on it at 11 pm... :doah: :haha:
