87 K5 Engine install - common mods/upgrades?

Hey guys - I am helping a guy swap out engines in 87K5 (350 TBI). I recently did a LS swap into a 70 but I have never worked on these models. He wants to make a few mild mods while we have the motor out. Headers, Holley TBI??, etc. I don't want to stir him in the wrong direction. Any advice on some common upgrades or changes we should make would be appreciated. It will be a daily driver with a small lift and mud tires nothing too aggressive.

R code vortec heads, matching intake manifold, decent aftermarket cam, headers, and high power ignition system. then rockout with your cockout.

Just steer him towards an LS conversion and leave that OBD1 junk behind.

LS Swap is out for now - we have a wrecked 88 Suburban with crate 350 in it we will use.
