I've come to the conclusion that I've got too many (hence the screen name) projects/toys. And I'm more into going fast in my Camaros...add in that everyone I wheeled with is getting out of 4x4's.
Some specs:
355 SBC-Rebuilt 2 years ago. new Scat rods, Speed Pro hyperutectic pistions/moly rings, rebuilt stock heads (springs, valves, seals), Comp Cams Xtreme 4x4 Cam (Lift .480 /.498, Duration 270 deg /278 deg, RPM Range 1800-6000), Edelbrock EPS intake, Edelbrock Thunder Series AVS 650cfm carb, Serpentine setup from 94 truck, new oil pump. Block was bored/decked/align honed/magnafluxed. Heads were magnafluxed/decked. Both were just to flatten the surfaces. Crank was ground (can't rember if it was .020 or .030). This motor runs very strong. 45psi oil presure @idle, pegs the gauge when reved. The K5 is my main towing vehicle, pulls very good for a gasser in a big lifted truck.
465/205-Best way to describe...leaky. No wierd noises or odd shifting in either one. 205 is a syncro/slip yoke. 465 leaks from the adapter. 205 leaks from the front bearing. I have another 465/205 (bolt on yoke) that I planed on swapping in, could toss that in with the deal.
D44/14BFF-4.88 gears, welded rear, open front, disc brakes with new calipers/pads all the way around, stainless flex lines, all bearings replaced in the 14B last year (wheel, carrier, pinion), front could use new wheel bearings.
37" Military tires on stock 8 lug wheels, good tread on all 4, have only been on the truck for 6 months or so.
Suspension-Have no idea how much lift is actually from the springs (were on a parts truck I bought). I think the fronts were 8" at one point they have sagged some, rear is ORD shackle flip with 1" zero rate plus a cut down overload (there is a factory overload too), zero rate in front springs as well. As it sits it sags in the rear a ton (it did sit level at one time).
The interior is decent. No rips/tears in the seats. Carpet has seen better days though.
The body is very rough. Being a Michigan truck that was driven/wheeled all year round for 22 years. The tailgate opens but one of the hinges is broke off, widow crank is busted (have to open/close from inside, screwdriver to keep closed). At one point the rear floor was replaced, I believe at that time is when the body lift (3") was added. Since then, the rear body mounts have poked through the floor. I'm guessing that's why it sits unlevel now. Floor up front is there, but starting to go along kick pannel on drivers side. Rockers are gone on both sides. Drivers door is becoming harder to close, passangers still works fine.
Other Misc Stuff-Dual electric fans, one on thermostat other on switch. Winch bumper on the front (no winch). Pioneer CD player/speakers. 31 gallon tank w/skid plate. Dual exhaust, off brand headers, Flowmaster Super 44's.
This is my current daily driver/wheeler/tow rig, I'd trust it to drive cross country. Wipers/washers/heater/lights work.
I can/will send extras with the truck (trans/t-case, 36's w/wheels, doors, top, other misc 73-87 parts).
I'd like $2200 for it with all the extras. However, I'd really like to keep the motor for another project. I'd take $1400 without the motor (w/extras). I am open to other offers though. Truck can be test driven anytime. If sold without the motor, test drive still available....I can have the motor pulled in under 2 hours. I could even toss in a core motor if the price were right. I don't need to get rid of it, just want to move on. I might consider parting it out if there is enough interest. I will try to get some current pictures tomarow.
