'87 Suburban Build "munepit" I'm Back! Missed all you guys!

do you have the drivers side battery tray for the dual batterys? if not i have one that i stole out of my old jimmy i'm not gonna use. let me know if your looking for something like that.

I do, I got it in the junkyard for like $5.00 or something. Thanks though:waytogo:

Well, I got it all put back together ( the dash). I also installed the switch and led lights for the Painless dual battery kit. Also in the picture is the control panel for the rocklights.

The red switch is for the 6 55 watt rock lights, well, these are for inspection and repairs. I know, I have 2 sets of lights under there, But I didn't want to take the others out after all the work it took to wire them up. The black switch is for the dual batteries.

Here are the lights.

I found some old pics of the Suburban. Here is one from the day I had the 8" lift and 38"TSL Radials put on. It had some new Weld rims also. this was in 1993. I have had it since 1988.

Here is a couple pics from a tuff truck I did in 1998. I had a bunch of local bussiness decals on there. The sticker on the back bottom window suited it well, I used to jump the snot out of it.

Thanks! Good times back then!

Well, I will have my Dix4x A-Bomb bumper on tuesday and then it goes right to powdercoating. I will pick it up on that Friday. Can't wait. Well, grinding all those rivets will suck. I am thinking of getting it done flat black. There is nothing shiny of glossy under there so no need to start now. Its $100 to powdercoat it.

Thanks Kert!

You should see if you ahve any other parts that you want done. bcuz he is probably charging you a $100 lot charge. so you might be able to get a few more small pieces or knick knacks done for shiggles.

Awesome pictures! And I think your daughter is saying, "big tyers"

No prob. I just kno how our plating shop works. Usually on small stuff all your paying is the setup cost and labor rates. Anything they can do in same time frame with same batch of material should be easy to do

agree with the prices
I finally found a shop that would work with me and my little projects. Everyone wanted so much for the smallest things. This guy has done things for 25 bucks. Charged me 50 bucks to do 4 beadlock rings for my quad, but that was a rare color. If it's a color they use all the time, or you can piggyback off a current order they have (as long as you like the color) it can save you money.

$100 to lug that heavy ass bumper around, seems fair :)

I picked up my bumper from powder coating the other day. It looks sweet! Flat black. This B-52 bumper center is pure art work!!! Kert is the frikkin man!!! I have a lot of work to do grinding rivets. I only had time this weekend to grind 3. A lot more to go. I hope when I get all the rivets out, the frame does't tweak to much.

Let the pic whoring begin!:woot:
