'87 Suburban Build "munepit" I'm Back! Missed all you guys!

Thanks bud.:waytogo: There is a few sets at the pick and pull here. You know the one:whistle:. Im going on wed. Thanks!!!

yeah, it's a bit of a drive.:D Just trying to get some help pulling them off :thumb: and maybe the gas tank, body lift, etc

This is pissing me off. I went to Pick a Part yesterday to get the leaf springs. I only had time to get one. I cant get it off. It took me 40 minutes to get one U Bolt off and the other one loose to slip off the top plate. I got the rear spring bolt off, But the front I cant get to. WTF? How can I get to this nut. There is not enough room for a socket amd I didnt bring an end wrench. Will the wrench fit in there? Not much room.

Pics. :angry1:

If I remember right, I did the same thing where I thought, Wtf gm?! And then I felt silly when it was no big deal to go in from the top. I will tell you that on a camper special 2wd burb, you will have to bend a wrench to get back into there.

Thanks!:waytogo: On the other side all the lug nut are off execpt the locking one. Great, I think I will hammer a socket on there to get it off.

Beware, a wrench that size is usually too long and will hit the floor pan. I ended up buying a craftsman and cut it in half.

i got my wrench in the from the bottom, didnt grab very well, but with some pb blaster it popped just enough

Ok, I have hit almost every salvage yard where they pull the parts. No luck. Just got back from doing some recon and found a yard where I can take my Power tank and use my airtools. But there are 2 trucks there. Will one of these work?

On a side note....I need the grill on truck #2. I hit a deer a couple years back and it punched the crap out of my perfect GMC grill. I couldn't persuade you to see how much they would charge for it and let me know could I? :sign22:

I just need the center section of the grill, not the headlight bezels.

Im pretty sure it would be no more than $20.00. But the shipping is what would kill it I think. The size is what screws us in shipping. I can and will find out for you though.

ah Jeff, are these pictures of 52s or 56s? I should have my 52s off by Sunday, so if you are still up sh1ts creek with the junkyards, they are still yours if you want them. Also, you bring a little car down and gas will be cheaper than the $85 that guy wanted. My s10 went through only about 11gal.

I thought the rear springs were 52s? Hell. This is getting old. I will drive to you and be done with it. I just need some Damm springs. I will compensate you!

Just wasn't sure what those trucks were. All blazers are 52, well the square bodies anyway. I know nothing about 69-72. Not the best pictures, but...

not sure if im right or not but ive found that most of the rear spring packs that originally came with 4,5,6 leafs not counting overload were 52", and some 6, 7s, 8 packs were 56" springs usually off the 3/4 ton's and duallys. so thats what i look for when im tryin to eyeball the length in the junkyards.

I know its off topic, but it is 2am, but why do you have a chrome tip on ur exhaust where nobody can see it?? Just wondered lol. :dunno::D

You can't be pimpin' if ya ain't got the chrome tips homey. :D

And if they can't see the tips, they can't steal the tips............:dunno:.......actually I just made that up......

Hahaha. Sorry Jeff, hold on a second :D

It's pimp, you can see it from a distance, and adds character. It was attached to a trashed exhaust system at the exhaust shop.

Guy said: "you want a tip on the end? I'll throw that one on for free."

"Sure!" :pimp:

When I'm all twisted up and showing off the underside :) people will be attracted to the bling :D and come from miles to see.

:woot:
