'87 Suburban Build "munepit" I'm Back! Missed all you guys!

Hahaha. Sorry Jeff, hold on a second :D

It's pimp, you can see it from a distance, and adds character. It was attached to a trashed exhaust system at the exhaust shop.

Guy said: "you want a tip on the end? I'll throw that one on for free."

"Sure!" :pimp:

When I'm all twisted up and showing off the underside :) people will be attracted to the bling :D and come from miles to see.

:woot:

Haha thats about the only answer that could make sense lol. I like it!:thumb: Doenst it get fumey in there?

Highjacked?

My '85 K5 dumps around the same place. It only gets fumey (is that a word???) with the top on, and the back window down.

Had some free time today so I went to get the 52s. Didn't work out. Took an hr to pull off the u bolts and get one spring out. The center pin is not in the center! Crap. WTF? I thought all rear GM springs had the center pin in the center. Guess not.

AHHH Jeff dammit. You are having WAY to hard a time at this. WTF man!

52s have a centered pin @ 26"
56's are offset

Who knows what was done to that Jyard truck. But it looks like my cousins 85 K20, which came factory with 56s

That's it, im not doing the 52s right now. I need to get this on the road and I guess its not in the cards right now. I have brand new 6" lift springs im going to use for now.

They are easy to get! 2 bolts. They seem soft though. Are these the ones I need for my Burb for 56s? If so, they seem really soft.

for your burb, no
I would think it's too soft, they are only 1/2 ton leafs

wait, what length do you have in the rear?

Stock springs. 1/2 ton, with add a leaf and blocks and body lift. Damm that's gay! But stock springs, original 1/2 ton. The ones today seemed softer though. I need some 56s for the rear though. Maybe I will grab the ones from today.

Bud, you have a lot of leafs in your arsenal. I'm sure you could use those 1/2 ton 56s and add some leafs to it. It would work out bitchen.

Then pull whatever add-a-leaf crap you have on YOUR rear springs, and put them in the front.

Problem solved :waytogo:

Ok, got another set of 52s today. 50 bucks. Came with 2 inch cast blocks. Got my upper mounts done also. Had to cut off the center pin on the springs. I am contaplating putting in the zero rate I just bought. I am going to add a spring to each pack, but being a Burb, I don't want to be too low with my wheelbase. Should I add the zero rate or not? Not too sure. What should I do?

I will be running 42s and 38s. Think im getting a set of 39.5s also.

Thanks.
