87 to 88 frame differences

I was looking at a reese hitch, i was reading the box and it says it fits 88-91 gmc/chevy k5's. I want one for my 87 K5 but i am not sure on the differences between the frames if it will work. There shouldnt be a difference right?

As far as I can tell, during the 81-91 span the only change took place in 83 so you should be ok. I'm not sure exactly what changed on the frame itself but I know it was done to accomdate a lower rear passenger floorboard.


Edit - I hope thsey're the same, I've got an 87 frame to go under my 91.

Change may also be in a difference from frame height to body height and bumpers and all of that, I'm sure its designed to fit up and tuck in nicely.
