'87 vs '88 K5 Body styles ?

In looking at a lot of aftermarket accessories I find most suppliers only go back to '88. Is there that much difference between the 87 & 88 models that bumpers, side tube steps, bumpers and grill guards etc aren't interchangeable ?

Are you sure you aren't confusing the 88 and later trucks? The blazer body stayed the same until 1991 but the trucks changed body's in 1988.

To my knowledge they do that because the pick-ups changed in those years.
The suppliers tend to mush pick-ups and blazers together. Sometimes if you call them(like superlift) they will have the right listings.
