If you don't want airbags...NONE of the 8 lug trucks in 88-2000 had air bags. I have had quite a few 88-98 GM trucks and honestly they are one of the best buys in GM trucks. They ride good, drive good and are just as easy to work on as the 87 and older trucks. I currently have a 98 8 lug excab/sb K2500 with 58K on it and I just bought a 95 2 door tahoe. They are a tough truck to beat. The upside to 96+ trucks is the vortec for the power and fuel mileage the downside(they all have them) is they have intake manifold gasket issues and usually fuel injection"spider" problems.
One of the neatest ones....I had one..... is a 97-99 K1500 Ex cab shortbed 3 door with the heavier GVW package because it had the 14 bolt semi floating rear end.
